Welcome to El Vaixell, a restaurant in Llançà with history and maritime flavor. Since its beginnings in 1989, Joan Calsina and María have shaped a family project rooted in previous generations, where their grandparents already ran a restaurant in the area. That inherited passion gave birth to El Vaixell in Llançà, a place where seafood cuisine comes to life in every dish.

Located since 2004 in the heart of the port of Llançà, in Girona, El Vaixell is a place where the sea enters the kitchen through locally sourced fish and seafood, prepared with honesty, simplicity, and authentic flavor. Our culinary offering is inspired by traditional fishermen’s recipes and remains faithful to the Empordà roots that define us.

At El Vaixell, we work with fresh, local, and seasonal products. Our most iconic dishes include seafood rice, suquet (fish stew), deep-fried squid (calamares a la romana), and grilled fish—always prepared with respect for tradition. We offer two flexible menus that allow you to enjoy a full experience, with a variety of tapas as starters and a choice of main courses based on the market.
